Monuments of Janów Podlaski
Janów Podlaski is a town with a rich history, full of unique monuments. The most important ones are:
- Baroque Palace of the Bishops of Łuck (1770) – built on the site of a 15th-century castle and a 17th-century manor, surrounded by traces of former bastion fortifications.
- Church of the Holy Trinity (1714–1735) – Baroque temple with a brick bell tower (1745), surrounded by historic fencing. Nearby is the former Seminary building from the 18th century, now the seat of the School Complex.
- Church of St. John the Baptist (1790–1801) – a classicist church with a Byzantine bell tower (1874) and a 19th-century rectory.
- St. Roch Cemetery Chapel (2nd half of the 19th century) – located in the former Uniate and multi-denominational cemetery.
- Gas station from 1928 – one of the oldest in Poland, with preserved manual Temper Extakt fuel dispensers.
- Landscape park and Bishop Adam Naruszewicz's Grotto (1796) – a picturesque place connected with the region's history.
- Wygoda park complex and historic stables designed by Henryk Marconi, including:
- Clock Stable (1841)
- Race Stable (1848)
- Front Stable (1885)
- Woroncow Stable (1885)
- Entrance Gate (c. 1840)
